I really don't see how this makes sense. I mean... they are in rebuilding, why have a guy like Oakley? I mean, they are saying all the veteran leadership stuff... but I mean... why have the salary and all.

Yeah, I wonder what Charles Oakley thinks about that now.

When he was with the Bulls the first time they were pretty good but not title contenders yet. I remember Oakley was kind of Michael Jordan's bodyguard on the court. Like whenever somebody would give Michael a hard foul, the Oak Tree would give a hard foul back. Those Bulls' teams had Michael Jordan and not much else. They did have Scottie Pippen and Horace Grant as rookies but they were too young to be big cogs to the team yet.

Then Oakley got traded away for Bill Cartwright and soon there after the Bulls went on to win their first 3 World Championships, all in a row.

So it's like Oakley was there before the Bulls were really good and he's there after they're really good (because now they're just horrible).

Touch luck there, Charles.

Then again I heard Oakley owned a lot of money to somebody up while he was in Toronto and because of that he didn't show up to the Raptors' last team meeting after they got eliminated by the Sixers in the playoffs and that rankled some people on the team so who knows maybe he is glad to go anywhere, just as long as he didn't have to stay in Toronto.

I actually like Oakley, he played golf at my home golf course like a year or so ago.

Spike, I am going to send you a PM, please check the PM section of the site.

Thanks.

one thing about oakley is that; he's a work horse....i get him every year on my fantasy teams just for rebounds....(sometime's i have to forgive the off court antics and his foul outs)..LOL..............
