Who do you think will win the NFC East this year? Skins??? Eagles??? Giants???? I know it won't be the Cowboys or the Cardinals, so who?

I thought that that thread was more focused on an overall league scenario rather than a particular division.
Although I would like to agree with your pick for the Skins in the East I have to say I don't like having to ride the arm of Jeff George. I can think of many more favorable, as well as likeable, tandems then George/Westbrook. The skins have a definite lack of depth at reciever, as well as a questionable d-line and place kicker. The kicking problem alone led to at least three loses last year! I don't think the Redskins are going to take the East as much as I would like it.
Stephen Davis is a stud, but with o-line losses like Trey Johnson, and a less then stunning attack by air I don't think he will be able to put up the huge numbers like last year.
So sorry to tell you so early but you and your thread are wrong, it won't be the Skins even with their new coach and the 2001 version of Dan Snyder. It will be the Eagles, led by McNabb and Duce Staley who take the East!

honestly...my NFC picks have less knowledge behind them then my AFC picks do...and this is definitely a close division which makes this pick hard
but i think stephen davis, even w/o depth at WR, will be able to overcome McNabb and Staley |

As a Redskins fan I hope that you are right, but I have to wonder if it is going to happen. I have to say I am glad Marty is in and Norv Turner is out as he hasn't done much is his 5 or so years there. It will be interesting to see Norv vs. The Skins in week one and San Diego.
So like I said, I hope your right but I don't see it happening. Jeff George will have to prove he is the real deal, and not just a whining underachiever with a big contract.

That is a very good point about the Ravens, and made even better by the Redskins recent acquistion of Tony Banks. I think an argument can be made that the Redskins have the two most underperforming QB's in the NFL.
My preseason predicition is that as a back up QB Banks still manages to fumble 6 times this season!
