Hey, iamrushman. Nice to meet you. Glad to see another basketball fan in here. Thanks for coming here and posting. I was getting lonely over here.

Speaking of the preseason, my Warriors beat the Lakers by 10 and 25 points the last 2 games we played them. We rock! Hehe. Just kidding. Shaq didn't play at all and it's just the preseason.

What do you think about zones being legal in the N.B.A. this year, iamrushman? I don't think I'm going to like it although I'll reserve my judgment till I actually see a game. The problem is I think it could turn this league into a jump shooters' league and we won't see as many spectacular drives to the basket because of the zone. I liked how it was before with the N.B.A. having no zones and college basketball having zones. I like the difference there.

Even though at the time, I heard some of the media not really being enthusiastic about those signings when Antonio Davis and Chris Webber were available, I thought both Horace Grant and Patrick Ewing were nice pickups by the Orlando Magic.

All they have to do is play limited minutes and have some production inside and Grant Hill and Tracy McGrady can do the rest. And what it also sets up is when both Ewing's and Grant's contracts run out the Magic can make another run at signing Tim Duncan who signed kind of a short contract the last time he was a free agent.

all good points SPIKE.......i also don't like the fact of the introduction of the zone system in the NBA. these guys are pros and should be in shape to handle the man to man defense.........maybe the 24 second clock will still keep them honest...we'll see.........perhaps the should move the 3 point line a few feet farther out...LOL.. just a thought...that will make it at the half court line.....(smile)

I think Stackhouse is going to have to pass more this year though because the Pistons have more talent on their roster this season (ie. trading for Clifford Robinson).

They have more scoring options on that team.

Yeah, if there's one guy who can discipline Rod and keep him in line, it's definitely Pat Riley. Riley's just one of those guys that you automatically respect if you play for him because of all the rings he has and the teams he's helped turn around.

theo ratliff has a injured hip and will likely see limited minutes at the start of the season..........do you think he will be back to form to continue with his rebounds and blocking form shortly or is this going to be a long term problem through out the season....

I don't know. I haven't seen him play yet.

Theo Ratliff's still playing in Atlanta?
