I hate to get political, but yeah three in a row, even if he's playing better this year, three in a row is just too much. Sometimes you just have to draw the line and let someone else have some glory. Regardless of the facts. I hate to say it but it's true.

draw the line? there's no cap on how many consecutive mvp awards you can have. it's inevitable that someone was going to do it sometime. if nash is the best player in the league this year, then there's no reason to get political. i must admit that there is a bit of vague underlying political theories in NBA, but most recently even that was strictly for the all-star games. IMO if nash is the best player in the league, he should get the award.

yeah.......im sure people were saying these same things about bill russell during the 50's.........or wilt a few years later..........and in the 80's how did they feel about bird winning 3 in a row?

i really hope nash does win 3 in a row...........coz we need someone to comeout and prove that it is possible to do things like that in a pro-league

mvp is most valuable player...not best player...I don't care how good you are if your team isn't winning you shouldn't win! I would say its a close race between Gil...and Nash

Hi, George Bitar here,
Steve Nash is definitely deserving, but my vote would go to Dirk Nowitski this year.
Thanks,
George Bitar

Nash will definitely be one of the favourites for MVP this year again.

now that nash has missed like 5 games in a row............they lost like 3 of them, and if the suns start to win more games with him back in the line-up since he had that shoulder injury that should be automatic for nash

He is def. deserving of the honor, but you have to consider that Gilbert Arenas would have to be in the conversation. But my vote would have to go to The Big Ticket: Kevin Garnett. The man is a double-double machine, and he plays hard every night. Even with the lack of talent he has around him. The Timberwolves would be in the pit if it wasn't for KG.

I think Steve Nash is great. But I think its time for Dirk Nowitzki. He deserves it. What do you all think?

When you look at what the team does when he plays, and what it does when he doesn't, he clearly is an MVP candidate. Even though he may not have as much star power, he has the ability to make everyone around him a better player. Far and away, MVP credentials.
