The way the fans acted at the finish of the Talladega race this weekend was pretty disgusting. I am not a Jeff Gordon fan at all, and I was/am a Dale Earnhardt, Sr. fan. Even though I didn't care to see Gordon win, I don't think he deserved to be treated the way he has been the last few weeks.

The guy can race, and he deserves the recognition that he has worked hard to achieve. I really hope the fans begin to shape up.

Yes they banned them from the track.

Actually they banned them from the purchasing of tickets at that track from a ticket guide.

This doesn't stop them from buying off the streets.

The fact of the matter is that Gordon lives a different life style then most of the other racers, some people cant seem to accept that.

How is that? What lifestyle do you mean? As far as I can tell, most of those guys have the same schedules during the race season, which runs most of a year.

He has his own wine collection, most racers dont do that. He listens to rap, while most of the other racers listen to more of a country sound, and to celebrate the marriage of his new wife, they had a little tea party thing. Granted it was probably his wifes idea, but most racers that I know of dont do that sort of thing.

While all of that may be true, I don't really think it has anything to do with how he was treated. Besides, the racers are getting younger, and they come from all walks of life.

The most of the problem lies with the Dale Earndhardt, Sr. fans who didn't like the way that Gordon came on the scene and challenged Dale Sr. Someone will surpass Gordon eventually, but it won't happen the way it did with the fans today.
