Just wondering what everybody thinks about the NL central.
As a Brewers fan, I'm a bit torn right now. We're treading water at 2 games over, have a 9 game homestand coming up (went 8-1 on the last one), but we have been wildly inconsistent. The pitching is coming around, but every once and a while the defense or offense lays an egg.
Right now St. Louis and Chicago look lights out, but this time last year Milwaukee was just as good and blew it. I don't think Chi. will blow it, but I'm hoping Milwaukee can heat up and sneak into the WC. _________________ Go Packers, Brewers, and Bucks!!! |

It's still to early to tell. Milwaukee is deep enough to get the wildcard, just hope the pitching holds up. _________________ My Life, My Pride |

I see Chicago and St. Louis as the 1, 2 of the division. As for the Wild Card, the Brewers will have to keep pace with the NL East, I think. I think that the Wild Card comes out of that division. _________________ www.chiefswarpath.com |

unless the cards totally blow up the rest of their season...........i think there might not be a way for the brewers to get into the post season _________________ NHL = Nashville Predators

The race between the Brewers and the Cardinals may tighten up, now that the Brewers are starting to hit more, and with Pujols down for now. _________________ www.chiefswarpath.com |

| The Cards were slipping a bit before taking 2 of 3 from the Red Sox so the wild card race has tightened up a bit (I think as of Friday the Brewers and Marlins were both 2 games back). I think Milwukee has the talent to hang with the Cardinals, but I don't see anybody catching Chicago. |

The Cubs may need to address their pitching a bit more in order to continue this for the season. With Zambrano down, they need one more solid starter to fill in. _________________ www.chiefswarpath.com |

Perhaps they will be in on the Erik Bedard sweepstakes? I have also heard rumors that Roy Oswalt may be available. _________________ www.chiefswarpath.com |
