So what do you guys think about the brackets? Any interesting matchups or potential matchups that catch your fancy?

Another team I think got screwed is Cal. Get this. Cal is from the West Coast. They get sent out to the South Region. Yet, the "South Region" is in Philadephia where their potential first round and 2nd round opponents (Penn and Pittsburgh) basically have home court advantage against them. What the heck is that about!

And the West Region is too stacked. That's messed up too. Go on down the line. #1 seed Cincinnati won the Conference U.S.A. Tournament. #2 seed Oklahoma won the Big 12 Tournament. #3 seed Arizona won the Pac-10 Tournament. #4 seed Ohio State won the Big 10 Conference Tournament. #6 seed Gonzaga won the West Coast Conference Tournament. #7 seed Xavier won the Atlantic 10 Conference Tournament. To have all these conference champions in one region is ridiculous. Spread it out a bit.

And Arizona could meet Gonzaga in the 2nd round. That looks more like a Sweet Sixteen game to me than a 2nd round game.

I think U.S.C. has a good chance to take down Duke in the Sweet Sixteen.

I also think Maryland has the easiest region and should get to the Final Four easily.

The N.C.A.A. Committee did an awful job here. They suck. A monkey could have done a better job than them.

The commitee is *...I don't think they watch the games. Anyway OSU will have a tough bracket but they can still play through it. I think Pepperdine will be surprising this year.

I don't think they do either. Sports media people would probably make a better committee because at least they watch most of the games.

Yeah um, I like Pepperdine. They've had some good games this year. I could see them going far except for the fact they've got Oregon in the 2nd round. They've already played earlier this season and Oregon blew them off the floor, winning by 24 points. The thing is Oregon plays the same kind of up and down game that Pepperdine plays but Oregon plays it better. And Oregon's got a better point guard.

By the way, here's a direct link to all the brackets in case anybody's interested.

So anybody have any thoughts on the games today?

Whew! Close call by your Buckeyes today, eh Nick. I saw like the last 5 minutes of this game. Davidson gave them all they could handle. It was 59 to 58 Davidson and then Brian Brown took over. He had like 7 straight points and then Ohio State never looked back. That was some clutch play by Brown over there.

At least your team won though. Some of the teams I was rooting for didn't even get that far.

Gonzaga got bounced by Wyoming. What sucks about that, is the committee now thinks they did good by screwing Gonzaga.

And U.S.C. got bounced by U.N.C.-Wilmington. That sucks because I thought U.S.C. would have a great chance to take down Duke in Sweet 16. Now Duke has a breeze of a region.

Anybody here think Stanford can beat Kansas? Before the Tournament I would say no, but the Jawhawks had a hard time with Holy Cross for goodness sakes. Kansas almost choked again.

I hate Duke but I have to admit, when was the last time you saw them ever struggle in a first round game. They just annihilated Winthrop from the opening tip tonight.

Oh man, Notre Dame almost had them today! Dammit.

Sorry about your Buckeyes today, Nick. Lost 83 to 67. And I thought if one team was going to roll in this game it would be Ohio State.

Because coming into the Tournament I thought Missouri was one of the last teams to get in and I thought they were kind of overrated, that some other teams deserved to go in before them and that they would even get bounced by Miami in the 1st round. Because Mizzou did not finish the regular season strong. But, what do you know, they're rolling in the Tournament so far.

So what did you guys think of the games yesterday? UConn gave Maryland all they could handle. I didn't see most of that game though because I was watching the Laker at Kings' game.

I saw most of the other game though. Boy did Oregon just get manhandled by Kansas. Not only did the Jayhawks just shut down Luke Ridnour and Luke Jackson, they just killed them on the boards, outrebounding them by 30. Kansas' big men were just too quick the Ducks' big men.

On an aside, Joey Harrington was at that game, cheering the Ducks' on. You guys see him? You guys see his girlfriend? Okay, I don't know exactly for sure if that's his girlfriend but he was sitting right next to him so it's not that far of an assumption. Man she was smoking! Blonde hair, thick lips. I'm thinking to myself when I saw that, "You da man, Joey! Not in the N.F.L. yet and already got the best looking girl in the house". Hehe.
