Bonds won his 4th NL MVP award today. I think it was an appropriate choice considering his season. Tomorrow we'll see who wins for the AL.

| when someone has a season that leads them to being compared to Babe Ruth, an MVP award is the least that MLB can give him |

I thought Jason Giambi should have won the award instead. |

I don't think it's fair for him to win 2 awards. I remember when Pedro couldn't win MVP because he was already Cy Young.

i dont remember that...
but ROY goes to the best rookie and MVP goes to the best player, and this season the best player just happened to be a rookie. i dont see anything unfair there. |

I think several years ago Pedro missed MVP by several votes. The reasoning behind it was because he was a pitcher, he didn't deserve the award - he had won the Cy Young already.

First of all, I have to give congrats to Barry on an outstanding season.
As for pitchers not being able to win MVP, I think that is wrong. Even though they may have already won the Cy Young, they could still be the best Most Valuable overall player as well.
