RULES: |
| The game begins with a Fastest Finger Question (“FFQ”). The FFQ will require four options to be arranged in a specific order, as set forth in the current question. Anyone may participate in the FFQ, except for the person who was most recently in the Hot Seat (“HS”). The first person to correctly answer the FFQ will be the next contestant in the HS. There is no limit to the number of guesses one can make at the FFQ, but one can not guess more than once in a 24 hour period (i.e. if an incorrect guess is placed at 1:30 PM on Tuesday, another guess can be made no earlier than 1:30 PM on Wednesday). Once a contestant for the HS is determined, the main portion of the game begins. The contestant will be asked a series of 15 questions designed to gradually increase in difficulty, and in turn, gradually increase in value. The questioning order goes $100; $200; $300; $500; $1000; $2000; $4000; $8000; $16,000; $32,000; $64,000; $125,000; $250,000; $500,000; $1,000,000. At any time, the contestant can opt to not answer the presented question and walk away with any money that has been earned. If an incorrect answer is given, the contestant leaves with either $0; $1000; or $32,000; depending on how far through the game the contestant has proceeded through the game. If any of the first five questions are missed, the contestant leaves with nothing. If any of the middle five questions are missed, the contestant leaves with $1000. If any of the final five questions are missed, the contestant leaves with $32,000. If the contestant correctly answers all 15 questions, he/she will earn the prestigious title of “SportsForums.net Super Millionaire” (feel free to brag about your victory in your signature). The contestant receives three lifelines available at any point throughout the game, but may only be used once: 1. 50/50: Two incorrect answers are removed. The incorrect answers to be removed are decided in advance, before the question is even presented to the contestant. 2. Phone-a-Friend: Pick any one person on these boards and you are allowed to have a public discussion with that person in the Super Millionaire thread. If after 2 days, that person does not respond, you may pick a second person. Your second selection has 1 day to respond. If your second friend does not reply, your phone-a-friend lifeline is exhausted, unsuccessfully. 3. Ask the Audience: If you decide to use your ask the audience, anyone on the message boards are allowed to help, BUT, they are not allowed to post anything in the Super Millionaire thread. Everyone who wants to participate in the Ask the Audience lifeline must send me (defska17) a PM with their answer. After 1-2 days, I will send a PM to active members that have not PMd me. After 2-4 days, I will present the results of the poll, and I will even include the actual answer as one of the guesses. In addition to the lifelines noted above, if the contestant correctly answers the $32,000 question and enters the final five questions, he/she will receive two new lifelines: 1. Double Dip: The contestant is allowed to make two guesses at the correct answer. When requesting to use the Double Dip lifeline, the contestant will simply post two answers. If either answer is correct, the contestant receives credit for a correct answer, and the Double Dip lifeline is successfully exhausted. 2. Three Wise Men: A panel of three people will be chosen to assist the contestant. The contestant and those three people will be allowed to have a discussion about the question in the Super Millionaire thread. During questioning, neither the person in the HS, nor anyone participating as a lifeline are allowed to refer to outside sources including, but not limited to, internet sources, books, and other people. Also, there should be no public discussion about the current question in the Super Millionaire thread, except between the participant and the Phone-a-Friend lifeline, or Three Wise Men lifeline, if applicable. And in case you didn’t jump to this conclusion on your own: this is fake money. We don’t even pretend to have a million dollars to give away. Now that you know how to play, head to the Super Millionaire thread and get ready for the next Fastest Finger Question! |
