You see it yet, Justin?

I want to see it despite what I hear critics saying (I never listen to them anyway).

I'm not sure I want to see this movie. Maybe I will, I never know anymore.

No I havent seen it yet, unfortunately. I may go next week sometime as I wont be able to see it this weekend.

I dont listen to critics either. If a movie isnt Oscar-caliber (i.e. slow and boring) they just dont like it usually. And critics never like comedies. Ever.

I finally did get around to seeing this. It wasnt a bad movie, but I was kind of dissapointed. I mean, almost every remotely funny part in the movie was shown in the previews, so, if you saw the full-length theatrical preview you've basically seen the whole movie.

There was so much that the first one had that the second one didnt. For example, to recruit agent Jay in the first one, there was many funny incidents during the training process and just trying to convince him of everything that was going on. In this one, when trying to re-recruit agent Kay, Jay walked in, told him what was up, and Kay follwed him out. That simple. Not much comedy, not much anything.

The best part of this one was the dog. The dog was hilarious but wasn't really in that much of the movie. Why? I dont know.

And a lot of the comedy in this movie was just recreating the first one (the alien with the head that grows back is in this one, those stupid worm alien guys). There was nothing original like the alien that gave birth in the first one, messing with people's minds after neuralizing them.

If you liked the first one, I dunno, this one just seemed like a cheap imitation of the first one. So you might like this one also. But if you were looking for something original that simply played off of the elements of the first one, just dont go.

Defska rating -->> 2.5/5
