I don't think you can get a better start to the season than the Miami Dolphins. Out of all the 2 and 0 teams, I think they're the most impressive. Winning at Tennessee that first Sunday night, where opponents barely win and then beating the Oakland Raiders. Both of those teams are teams a lot of people in the preseason picked to go the Super Bowl, maybe even it win it.

Although to be honest, I'm still not a big Jay Fiedler guy. Yeah, I know he was the guy who engineered the game winning drive yesterday afternoon and he's mobile and that's good in this day and age when Quarterbacks seem to be so fragile. Anything to help prevent from getting hit is a good deal for them. Mobile but not that big and tall. And doesn't look like the kind of guy that would lead a team to a Super Bowl victory.

I know you're a Dolphin fan, Patrick. What do you think of Fiedler?

Next week's game at St. Louis should be awesome. Their great offense against the Dolphins' stout defense. I sure hope I get that game out here.

Yes, those were great games. No one really picked the Dolphins that high, a lot didn't even pick them to win the East! But those two games have been huge.

My take is this:

Fiedler, although he isn't really that great, he lacks the talent. But, he is tough and he has heart.

Making that 80 yard drive and finishing it like that. Playing poorly and coming back to win - it is a big time confidence builder. Its like what Jordan says: If you do it once, you know you can do it and you will keep doing it.

Fiedler may not look the part or have that much talent, but he does have heart and he's a tough guy.

If the Dolphins win this week at St. Louis, I believe they can be considered as a true Super Bowl contender.

No offense, but if beating Tenn. at home and Oakland doesn't make them a "true Super Bowl contender" then some people will never be happy.

Miami is defintely a threat, but are no match for Indy as far as I'm concerned.

[WARNING: The post insdie may contain what some of you think as "mean". If you are offended easily stop reading right here. The true defintion of the post is fun smack.]

Patrick, losing 35-10 in a game you thought they would win does not make you a Super Bowl contender.

I am saying this because you have slapped in the face my putting this on the main website:

Consider this your slap back.

BTW, I guess I'm "never happy".

Ross,

I am not going to sink to your tone, but we beat Tenn at Tenn and Oakland. If you didn't say we were a Super Bowl Contender then, then yes, you are not happy.

Today's game doesn't change the outlook, the Rams played almost flawless football and deserved to win. The team that plays better, wins.

That was some beating today. So was the Pats win over the Colts. The AFC east should be interesting now maybe..

Yeah the Pats game was weird too. However, I can't really say that I think this changes anything. Both teams have to forget these losses and move on, the Dolphins and Colts are still the Top 2 in the AFC East and two of the best in the AFC.
