Ive always like McGriff. He is a borderline HOFer in my eyes as he has managed to avoid a late career drop-off as most players do. Who knew he hit 30 homers and drove in 103 last season? He is quietly one of the most consistent players in baseball today, 4th on the active career HR list.

They probably would have wanted to get someone younger though....., but I think they someone in the farm system they are developing to play first.

I wonder how long he can keep up that production but he should be able to provide a little bit of leadership to that team.

Well we couldn't get Cliff Floyd or Jeff Kent so we ended up with McGriff.
