What an upset.... A 14 pt. win over #1 Stanford by Maryland. Was anyone expecting this? I wasn't!! This will be Maryland's first time to the Final Four.
I lost a bet with this one by the way!!

I was rooting for Kansas to beat Illinois as well. I would have liked to have seen Roy Williams win a National Championship just because I think he's a good coach but he gets a lot of flak for his talented teams going out earlier in the Tournament than a lot of people expect them too.
Anyways, about Stanford and Maryland, I was rooting for the Cardinal to win this game and I was disappointed that Stanford didn't employ the zone more than they did. I believe Stanford used the zone exactly one time in the 2nd half and Lonny Baxter got free for the dunk and then they just gave up and abandoned it. Bad move, I thought. Mike Montgomery should have stayed with it. When the other team has quicker athletes (like Maryland did that game), you can neutralize that quickness by zoning up.
