Mark Prior singed a $1 million contract with the Padres this week, going back home. I think that this could be a good pick up for the Padres, who I think Greg Maddux may have had something to do with. As long as Prior can stay healthy, it will be a fine bargain. However, I am not so sure the risk is worth the reward in this case. _________________ www.chiefswarpath.com |

I doubt he will stay healthy enough to to be effective. Unfortunately he was over-pitched as a young guy in the league... making him a constant injury threat. _________________ I can't help it. I like the Pirates... |

I am not so sure he was over-pitched. There are many studies that have been done on over-pitching, and depending on which one you read is the one with the answer you like. Some swear by pitch counts, and some don't. However, I do think that his durability is his biggest question mark. _________________ www.chiefswarpath.com |
