Looking back at the Pistons and Pacers Brawl at the Palace, does anyone think the NBA has improved its image?

i think it has ALOT.............its been like 3 years since that happend, but alot has changed........especially with tech. fouls and the way they want their players dressing if they dont play the game

I think the league is on the right track, by making the refs give out T's for the players complaining about calls, and arguing. They just need to keep moving in the right direction.

^true...........but they also need to not give out so many of them, i think some basketball reporter said something that the refs might be handing out tech. fouls for ticky tack stuff.............which is sorta stupid but what can u do

Is the tech for a ticky-tack call, or is it because the player argued the ticky tack call?

its kinda half and half, some of the tech. fouls given are from a player looking and was like "what?......", and some is just ticky tacky like just bouncing the ball to the guy who is gonna inbound it, i saw it happen to amare stoudemire the other day............he got called for 2 tech fouls in the other game, now one of them i can see but the other one where all he did was lightly bounce the ball to the player and walked off.............that was stupid

The refs are human, but it always seems they make calls against your team. I wish the league could do something where the refs were ranked on how well they perform when other refs review their calls. It will probably have a lot of bugs and cheating, but I wish the refs that do call fair games would get the credit, and bonus, that they deserve. In the NFL, the best referee team does the Super Bowl, which is an honor for them.
For technical fouls, I think it has to be for something really bad, like Kobe's arm flying.

yeah that or cussing out a ref, that i do think deservs a tech. but all this small touching or w/e thats getting rediculous

the nba's image has gotten a lot better since then. the brawl was just a low point in pro basketball, so i think i was inevitable that the nba would get past it and improve their image

I dont think it should have een tarnished there image in the first place if someone did that to me while i was working i would punch them too
