Well, now all the playoff spot in the AL are in stone, and NONE of the spots in the NL are. This is very strange, the races are very close in the NL.
This is the likely matchup in the AL
Seattle vs. Cleveland
New York vs. Oakland
If the season ended today (which it was supposed to before the terrorists) the lineup in the NL would be...
Houston vs. Atlanta
Arizona vs. St. Louis
Prediction?...I'll post mine later... |

Houston would play against St Louis in the NLCS. The AL is real close but I think the Mariners can beat the Indians. The Yankees vs. A's series would be very very close and I would have to take the A's on that, they're so hot.

| I'll take Cleveland and the Yankees. Im going with the traditional powers (for the last couple years anyway) in the ALDS. In the ALCS, it will be tough, but Im picking the Tribe cause Im a Clevelander. |

Yeah Rick...
A's over Yankess
Upset Special: Tribe over Mariners
Astros over Braves/Phillies
Diamondbacks over Cards
Tribe over A's (sure i'm a bit biased)
Astros over D-backs
Astros over Tribe |

| Houston is going nowhere. Even if they do make the playoffs they will probably get beat by Arizona in a 5 game series. |

In my mind one of the AL teams will win. Oakland and Seattle did well during the regular season but the Yankees are just terrific during the postseason.

I'm sure an AL team will win, too, the reason the NL is so close this year is that there are no standout runaway teams in the NL, many AL playoff spots have been decided weeks ago, because the teams are so much better then the rest of the league, one of those will win the World Series, they deserve it more anyways.
Hopefully the Mariners take it, I'd like to see a team that in the past few years has lost greats such as Randy Johnson, Griffey, and A-Rod, and still do well...gives hope for my Padres anyways But Wedge has a point, the Yanks always seem to go crazy in the post season, they might be a good regulayr season team, but something happens to these guys come October that makes them amazing.
