Yeah, I saw that.
With all these people saying how stupid Al Davis is, he really isn't. He's 10x smarter than the Bucs owners. He waited until he got what he wanted, until they were truly desperate.
The Bucs still look dumb to me, they could have saved all of the draft picks and maybe Warren Sapp and hired Marvin Lewis. Gruden is a good coach, but they have given away some great stuff for a guy who won't be able to step on the field and play for them, just coach, which is important, but you get my point.

I agree Pat. And Al Davis also realized that he was going to lose Gruden in a season anyways, so better to get as much for it as he did, then to get nothing.
Oakland has, i think, 10 picks in the first 2 rounds now. That is incredible. This solidifies the Raiders as being a contender for several years now. What more could the Raiders have asked for?  |
