During the draft, Kobe announced he would opt out of his contract with the Lakers after next season to test the free agent market. What do you guys think of that? _________________ Indians....a nice late run, there's always next year

I think he should stay with the Lakers.
Shaq's going to retire soon and then he can see if he can carry a team like Jordan. |

I think it is good. He can go carry a team elswhere and not be stuck with CBA players around him. LA is all bad role players outside of Shaq and Kobe. Horry is going back to Houston or retire as well, and who's left? Fischer? George?
I'd like to see him head to the East, amybe back to Philly, and help the balance of power in the NBA, because it's getting ridiculous now with the West winning every damn year. _________________ "Up on the rooftop...listening to punk rock...."

I agree with Spike. I think Kobe should stay with the Lakers. I can't see Kobe in any other jersey. And since I'm such a big Laker/Kobe fan, I don't want to see him leave. So I was watching Sportscenter today and they were talking about this whole kobe thing. They were saying that kobe might be saying this to test shaq. To see if shaq will get in better shape or something. I don't know about this. What do you guys think? |

I think he is serious, because this is the second time in 6 months he's brought it up. Towards the end of the season this was mentioned too. I heard somewhere that he doesn't like LA (the city) very much. He typically stays inside with hi snew wife and kid....plus, now that he has reconciled with his dad, maybe he would want to move back east for family reasons. _________________ "Up on the rooftop...listening to punk rock...."

Kobe satements about testing free agecy after next year are bogous. He is gonna stay with the lakers. the only reason he said that was so that the lakers go to work this offseason and bring in a few good supporting players. _________________ God created the earth in 6 days. And on the Seventh Day He Said, "Let There Be Football." And there was football. And it was good. Later that day God said, "Let There Be One Team To Rule The Others, To Set The Standard Of Excellence." And with that he plucked a Star from the Heavens and placed it on a helmet of Silver and Blue. And God said," Let Them Be Called.................The Dallas Cowboys!
