Rumor has it that KG could be shipped before the next season starts.
Seems like the NBA could see some major changes soon. |

I would be surprised if KG got moved. He has been the constant out there in Minnesota. I am not sure the management wants to trade him. Their stand for years is that they can surround him with decent players, and they can win. Hasn't worked well enough yet, though. _________________ www.chiefswarpath.com |

Trust me, it's hard to believe.
Here's one of the few i've read: http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/columns/story?columnist=stein_marc&page=KobeKG-FAQ
| Quote: |
Garnett lacks a no-trade clause like Bryant's, but he's only a year from having the right to leave Minnesota without compensation. KG can become a free agent in the summer of 2008 if he's willing to forfeit his $23 million salary in 2008-09. Bryant can't put the Lakers under the same pressure until a year from now, with his right to become a free agent on hold until the summer of '09.
"That's why Garnett, to me, has the bigger hammer," said one Eastern Conference executive.
That's also one reason why in Garnett's case, unlike Kobe's, there already have been actual trade conversations this month.
Boston's Danny Ainge has acknowledged discussing Garnett possibilities with the Wolves, and the Suns, according to NBA front-office sources, are talking to them, as well. After three straight seasons out of the playoffs with Garnett, it appears Minnesota finally has realized it must consider dealing Garnett and starting over because it lacks the trade assets or salary-cap flexibility to significantly improve the cast around him. |

Even if Garnett does come to L.A., do you think that changes Kobe's mind about everything all of a sudden? _________________ www.chiefswarpath.com |

Yes.
I feel as Kobe never wants to leave LA, he just wants to be on a team that can compete. Adding KG will have a tremendous impact on the Lakers and Kobe/KG is definitely sounding like one of the duo's ever. |

It sounds more and more like that this trade is not going to happen. It was discussed last season before the deadline, and still didn't get off. It is hard to tell yet, though. _________________ www.chiefswarpath.com |

| Chances are it won't happen. Too many variables to try to line up to make it work. Will the Hawks give up picks and Josh Smith... will the celtics give up a pair of players and a pick... will the Suns give up Amare.... will the Lakers give up Bynum, Odom, and Walton... etc. So many things have been speculated I just want to see something happen. I would love to see KG as a laker. |

KG had already said that he doesn't want to be a Celtic, and if he gets traded, he will opt out the following year. I don't know if Boston wants to be a part of that. Ultimately, they would lose more than they gain. _________________ www.chiefswarpath.com |
