I think it will happen. This is just a rough estimation on my part, but if Kobe can score the way he does in the regular season, one of these games he will do it on the playoffs as well. When Kobe starts scoring, the Lakers rally, so it's not like it's not benefitial to the team. If he could do 60 and 65 in one month, then he might be able to do it comoe playoff time. The only thing that gets at me is that Wilt never did it. He's never averaged over 40 in the playoffs for that matter. He put up 100, 78, 73, but I don't even know if he's done 60 in the playoffs (if anyone knows if he has, let me know). It took Mike double-OT to get to 63. Baylor did 61, but that was it. Kobe is arguably a better offensive player now then Baylor was then, however. What do you guys think?
5/17 EDIT: The single-game scoring record, not the record for total career points in the playoffs. _________________ "If you are going to argue about statistics, then you BETTER have the statistics right."

Kobe is a great player, and he may get those records. However, if his team can't keep going deep into the playoffs, he won't get the playoff record.
If they get in this season, I think they fall out in the first round. I think that the Lakers need more help inside, like they had with Shaq. However, Kobe wants to be the man, and if that is the case, I don't know if they will win another title with him there. _________________ www.chiefswarpath.com |

i dunno if kobe will get it this year, since they will face either the mavs or suns............and both of which dominate the lakers, so i see a early exit for them in playoffs _________________ NHL = Nashville Predators

| No way. Kareem played well into his 40's. Kobe started young and will be all beaten up by the time he is 35. Not to mention he is a guard and that takes a lot out of someone. The pouding of the knees etc. |

no you misunderstood what i was talking about. i meant scoring record for a single game. will he have that by the time he retires? jordan has it at 63. will kobe beat that? _________________ "If you are going to argue about statistics, then you BETTER have the statistics right."

kobe started off crappy when he was young he wasnt no lebron james
my friends and i did a statistic that kobe needs to average about 26 points a game for another good 10 years and perhaps he will get the record but id say most likely he wont but you never know _________________ Show me a guy whos afraid to look bad, and I'll show you a guy you can beat every time. |
