I was wondering when you were going to reply. I actually started a thread on your Kings... and you didn't respond?! |
Yeah I'm slow sometimes. |

Well here's some bad news. It looks like the worst case scenario is going to happen. Mike Bibby is just going to sign a one-year contract this season.
And we get to do this all over again next Summer. Except this time, Mike Bibby will be an unrestricted free agent. |

The Kings look like they are going for athletic ability and quickness against the Lakers instead of getting size. As evidenced by their signing of Keon Clark, good move, imo.

Yeah actually they did get "size" in the sense of height today (Keon's 6'11") but they just didn't get width (he's 220 pounds). Then again there's really nobody in the league who can guard Shaq no matter how wide. Todd MacCulloch is wide and he got killed by Shaq in the N.B.A. Finals.

Yeah I think this is an awesome move by the Kings as well. He addresses the Kings' two biggest weaknesses, rebounding and shot blocking. Like that article said, his quickness and athletic ability should also give the Kings the kind of guy who can slow down Tracy McGrady and Kevin Garnett, long, lanky, athletic 3's and 4's that have killed the Kings over the years.
But what I also like about him is he can the 15 to 18 foot jumper. That'll help pull Shaq away from the basket. Vlade Divac can do the same thing. But that was a problem in the series with the Lakers last year. When Divac was in foul trouble, Scot Pollard would come in and he couldn't hit that shot so Shaq could lay off and roam the paint and block other Kings' shots. |

| Good job by the Kings to keep Bibby in Sacramento. He is a great player for that team. |
