Amazing career. Congrats to him. I met him once when I was younger and he signed something for me. That was in the peak of his career. Always appreciated that.

This is a sad moment in baseball. He had a good run though. I have a baseball bat signed by him from his heyday. During the peak of his career baseball was better. I'm glad he finally retired though, he was starting to lose it.

Quite simply, in his prime he was the most beautiful baseball player to watch. Beautiful swing, graceful strides, power and speed, as well as the athletic ability and anticipation to make some of the best catches I have ever seen. I miss the old days.

One of the greatest ever, is sad to see him go. If he would of stayed healthy through his career is amazing to think the where he would be ranked among the legends of the game.
