Just thought I'd say hello...nice to find this friendly looking site. I'm from England, but I have in the past lived/worked for a spell in the USA, and I also have family living in Vermont. Luckily we get plenty of MLB/NHL/NFL games on Channel 5 TV in the UK, so I don't miss it all that much! I'm a BIG Boston Red Sox fan (but don't hold that against me!), also Bruins and Patriots, so nobody can accuse me of only ever backing a winning team!  And from the NL I love the Expos...well, somebody has to! Hoping to get over to New England later this summer and take in a few games at Fenway if my sister out there can get tickets...and maybe a trip up to the Big 'O' in Montreal (though no problem getting tickets there!). Anyway, looking forward to posting on the site. Have a great summer!!

Thanks for the welcome guys.
I never get too excited about the Red Sox chances, no matter how well they are playing, because we always eventually blow it! With Martinez, Ramirez, Everett, Garciaparra (when he's back), Nomo etc. you'd think we had a good shot again this year, but I'm not sure. The AL is going to be hell again this year, with 6 or 7 really hot teams.

It's fine Patrick...some of my best friends are Yankees fans. I long ago gave up getting mad with them, I mean what's the point? I am however confused as to why my 'Hi' thread has been moved from 'Baseball' into 'The World' when it speaks about baseball and nothing but baseball? I can't see how it is even slightly 'off message'!
