So what do you guys about King quitting?
I'm not really a big fan of his but I like him better than Tazz and that other guy that does color on RAW.
I guess if I was him and my wife (The Kat, by the way, I don't think is that good looking. I mean she's attractive and cute but nothing special really. And she's basically been dead weight with the storylines the last few months anyways so I can see why she was let go) got fired by the company without any warning I'd be mad too so I can't really blame him.
I can see both sides to it, but it's kind of a shame though.
Do you guys think Lawler will ever come back? There was talk before that I read about him maybe going to the W.C.W. and announcing there but with today's events of the purchasing of that organization by the W.W.F, I guess I can't see that now.

The King quitting was a negative for the business, but as he will find out, life in the WWF will continue on without him. Paul Heyman is no King, but the spot as Color Commentator can be filled, and Paul is doing a fine job.

I think that Vince fired the King more for like a showing of his power. Nobody expected the King to leave as quickly as he did. I am sure Vince realized that if he fired the Kat that Lawler would go with her. He probably realized he was going to have Paul to do comentary so he didn't mind giving up Lawler. Lawler was a pretty main part of the company, but Vince gave him up. I think it is a message to the wrestlers and other people in the WWF to show that Vince is and always will be in charge.
As for Lawler I think that he isn't going to be doing WCW anytime soon since Vince now ownes the company, but I think he will still work closely with the Memphis Wrestling maybe even doing comentary for them. |

Yeah, I guess he's okay but I still like King better than him though.
But Tazz is kind of bad on "Smackdown". He's so bad, he makes King look articulate.

Well it's been like 7 months and I still miss "King". I thought there was a chance he might come back when he was seen behind the scenes during Smackdown one time not too long ago. That particular Smackdown was in Memphis though I believe so that would explain why he was there. Oh well. Wishful thinking.
I haven't adjusted to Heyman and Tazz. They still suck.
Tazz is incoherent when he does the analysis but I still like him better than Heyman who sounds like a jerk. |

Oh yeah I heard about the Andy Kaufman thing.
They still don't know if that was staged or not. I think he's passed away too.
I remember back when "King" was still announcing for the W.W.F., he'd say stuff like, "That's as stupid as Andy Kaufman". |

Yeah I heard about that movie. I did not see it however.
Andy Kaufman is one of Jim Carrey's idols I believe. That's one of the reasons Carrey did this movie.
Did Jerry "The King" Lawler appear as himself in that movie or did they get somebody else to act out his part?

Yeah I was referring to Andy Kaufman there. |
