I heard today that the 49ers gave Jerry permission to talk to the Lions and Matt Millen, so it looks like he might go there now.
I believe Millen played with Rice briefly when Millen was a 49er for a little while in his playing days.

Actually, yeah I'd like to see Jerry continue to play. I still think he can be productive as like a possession receiver. From, what I heard he wants to play at least 2 more years so his statistics will be nice and round. I don't know about Detroit, like who they have at Wide Receiver and stuff.
But I thought Jerry Rice might be a good fit in Seattle because they're kind of thin at Wide Receiver. Darrell Jackson was one of the best rookies in the league last year for the Seahawks and he'll probably be double teamed a lot this coming year. If Rice went there, he could show Darrell how to deal with double-teams and Rice himself can feed off the attention the defense is paying to Jackson.

| I see Rice going to Seattle. Holmgren has set aside some cap money to aggresively go after him. I think Rice will like the players Holmgren has added this off season, and who would be a better mentor to young recievers Darrell Jackson and newly drafted Koren Robinson? Rice would be a good fit in Seattle, thats where I see him going. |

Holmgren could definitely use some help up there.
Jerry Rice would be a perfect fit.
