Some of the best acting I have ever seen! I didnt realize how great an actor Al Pacino was until seeing this movie. Robin Williams is easily one of the greatest of all time. And Hilary Swank was amazing as well.

Robin Williams as a villain scared me at first, I wasnt sure Id like it, but after learning that he is more of a psychopath then a villain, all was good in the world.

Its impossible to describe the plot of this movie too much without giving too much away, as the first plot twists and surprises happen so early in the movie. I can say this: Al Pacino is a cop that is assigned to a murder case in Alaska where it is sunny 24/7 during the Summer. As a result of the eternal sun and some personal problems (describing them would give too much away), Al never sleeps (hence: Insomnia). His sleeping and personal problems begin to get in the way of his work, and that is about all I can say about that.

When it comes down to it though, if you see any dramatic thriller this year, this has to be it. And if you have to make a choice between this, Spiderman, and StarWars, youd be dumb not to choose this one.

Hehe, when I first read the title of this thread I thought it was for people who can't go to sleep.
