Ichiro all the way. So much talent in one guy. Throws, hits, runs, does everything you could want.

| Pujols all the way!!!! Ichiro is awesome but 42 ribbies in 36 games and along with a .370 batting average has to be an automatic ROY trophy. |

i forgot about soriano...yes, he does have a good chance to stay consistent all season and win out...i still think ichiro will take the trophy, but he might have a good chance to beat pujols for runner-up, i dont think pujols will keep his homerun pace up for much longer |

Pujols will eventually cool off. A rookie can't stay this hot for the whole season can he? He still will be a candidate if he keeps his average in the mid-.300 range and hits 25+ homeruns and gets 100+ RBI.

pujols will definitely cool off...but still looks to be definite front runner for NL ROY if he keeps his .300 BA and hits 25 homers...are there any other strong rookies in the NL right now?, im not thinkin of any near as dominant as pujols
as for ROY of AL, and all of baseball, it will prolly be really close between ichiro and soriano...thats a race to watch later in the season, should be exciting

If Soriano really gets going, he will win but I'm thinking Ichiro right now.

It's too early to say, but right now I would go for Pujols. When you think he was playing A-Ball most of last season, to be batting .378 and already has 44 RBI and 14 HR with the season barely a quarter over, it's quite amazing. Even if he does cool off (which he inevitably will) he must still be on course for 35-40 HR and 120 RBI. Looks like McGwire could be back as early as June 5th, so the Cardinals will be even more lifted by that, and they must be hot favourites for that division with Big Mack back.
