Surprised no post on this already. Hull is second fastest in history to reach 700. (Gretzky)

Its like the equivalent of 600 homers in baseball, kinda .
Congrats to the future Hall of Famer. _________________ Justin Lieber |

yes definity, great job for him. I believe reading in the paper there are only 6 other poeple to have done this.
Also as a side note, congrats to Patrick Roy to have played 1000 games as a goalie. He is the first person to reach this milestone _________________ I AM CANADIAN

| I've been watching hockey for probably 15 years. There is nobody in the league that has the shot he has. I hated to see him play against the Wings when he was with the Blues and the Stars. Darn glad to see him in a red and white jersey now. |

Roy also had his 65th shutout not too long ago, I think he's second to Belfour, but not by much.
In a couple of years, Brodeur will take over, easily.
700 goals is amazing.
Let's do the math: 14 consecutive years with 50 goals.
Most consecutive 50 goal seasons : 9, Mike Bossy.
How many players will score 50 goals this year ?
None
Last year ? 1
The year before ? None
I don't care who the player is, if the rules and the concept of the game remains like it is now, no one will ever do 700 goals again.
Brett Hull's stats: simply amazing (86 goals in 90-91)

as for the shutouts, I don't know who is first or second now, either belfour or roy, but remember that is among active goalies, not all time, I believe the most shutouts record is actually higher than that _________________ I AM CANADIAN
