| The Rams are obviously the hottest team in football right now. They have so many weapons (including two of my SDSU boyz!). The Falcons showed the only way to stop thier offense when they played earlier in the year...at least for one quarter. They kept the Rams on the sidelines for nearly 13 minutes of the second quarter...and still lost by over 20 points. The only, and I mean only way to beat the Rams is to pressure Curt Warner and create turnovers. |

turnovers are definitely the Rams' achilles heel. they turn the ball over a lot more then they would like, and if any team wants to beat the rams they need to capitalize on the turnovers. i think a lot of teams come in playing the rams scared, knowing how explosive that they are, and fall behind fast. but be honest, if the teams game plan is to stop the pass, faulk runs it right by em, if they come out trying to contain the run, warner throws one to bruce for 80 yards, its amazing.
but as you said the best way to shut down kurt warner is to keep him on the sideline. |

Well teams with solid defenses can beat them. Tampa and New Orleans won against them. The Giants lost by 1 in the game when Strahan got several sacks on Warner and Faulk was sidelined for the end of the game.
My Jets got destroyed back when their run defense was the worst in the league and allowed 200+ yards on the ground that game.

yes, being able to run the football and keep them off the field is the best way to beat them. but as the falcons proved, you can keep them off the field almost an entire quarter and still get pummeled.
i stand by my position that with all the parody in the league today, the single most important statistic is turnover margin, followed closely by yards per reception. the rams aren't great in the turnover margin, but they are in yards per reception. |

If we meet them in the Super Bowl, which is a BIG if for both teams, my Dolphins have the D to do it. Granted in our first meeting they kicked our butts, but I think we will learn from that and have the type of D that can stop them.
Jason Taylor on the outside is a good pass rusher who can also run people down, very quick. Then we have arguably the best secondary in the game in Surtain, Madision, Fletcher, Cousin, Marion and Walker.

| that is a BIG if indeed. If the Rams get home field advantage througout, I don't think they will be beat. If they have to go to GreenBay in the cold (or Chicago), then they are in some trouble. Favre is unstoppable in the snow! And the Rams haven't seen my man KBJ in Green Bay yet. Miami does look good though, and they could give the Rams a run in the superbowl should they meet. |

| I agree. The Falcons did something interesting a couple of weeks ago. After scoring a touchdown, they kicked an onside kick and recovered it. This kept the Rams offense off the field longer. Although they didn't win, I think it is indicative of what kind of things must be done to beat the Rams. |

Here are some teams I think could beat the Rams:
Miami
Pittsburg
Baltimore
Philadelhia
Green Bay
Plus of course the Saints and Bucs...

pittsburgh and green bay, yes, the others...im not too sure. of course any team can beat any team under certain circumstances, i dont think miami, baltimore, or philly would beat st louis too often.
i still think st. louis would have to be favored in any game against any team, but pittsburgh green bay oakland and san francisco (despite the whooping they took last week) i think have the best shots. |
