So, just how many times exactly is Jordan going to come out of retirement ot return to the NBA? Don't get me wrong, I think that Jordan is an awesome player...he's been one of my favorites since I was about six...but seriously, how many times is he going to make the front cover of the sports page because he is once again "leaving the NBA 'for good' and retiring." It's great to have him back to the NBA, and I welcome him home to the court with open arms... let's just not have so much fire works about it anymore. This whole shabang is becoming a natural routine. |

Actually, I think though the public and the press isn't making that much of a big deal about it this time as they did when he came back and played for the Bulls in 1995 because there was lot more to be excited about back then. He was coming to a team that was still a championship contender with his addition. This Wizards' team is far far from that.
And when Jordan retired the first time, a lot of people knew he retired too early. He was in his prime, but he still had a lot of years left in his prime. Now the consensus is that he's on the downside of his career and he can only get worse. |

i think his first retirement was due to his father's untimely passing.......and he needed time to get his head straight.....

I agree the first time was fine, he had a lot of emotional problems with his father's death, and when he came back it was really as if he never left...he picked up where he left off.
But now, he's just there to help out some young players I think, he will never be AS great, but he will still be one of the better players out there.
The first time he retired was great because we all got to see him bat for the White Sox in preseason games!! I've got his baseball Upper Deck rookie card stashed away somewhere, I wonder if that'll be worth something some day |
