When the Yankees win another World Series next year, everyone can thank the A's. They moronically refused to give him a no trade clause and got him * so he signed with the Yanks. Whoever Oaklands GM is, should be fired. How stupid.

yep...though I think that the "no trade clause" excuse was just that, an excuse, from Giambi to go make more money elsewhere. so, of course, he headed to the yanks.

Yeah. I remember last year. The Mariners didn't keep A-Rod and, of course, he went to the Yankees, er, Rangers. And then there was Mike Hampton. The Mets didn't sign him so, of course, he went to the Yankee, oh wait, Rockies. And then there was Manny Ramirez. He wasn't happy in Cleveland, so, of course, he headed to the Yank, er, Red Sox. You guys are too much!

Anyway, all I can say is:

Welcome Jason.

Shave that go tee thing you got going on. Cleanly kept mustache or nothing. Dress properly between games. You will be fine. And I hope you do well.

Thanks.

I'm not so sure how the Yankees will do next year. They are losing a lot of starters and we have to wait to see who are the replacements... I think it is way too early to say they will win the World Series next year. Giambi does help though.

I understand your point, I really do, but until the Padres sign a veteran star player, and makes headlines with it, I will always complain about how unfair baseball's salary system works.

Who are you? The baseball getstapo?

Giambi isnt going to shave his goetee and I cant even believe that is an issue with you. When you sign Jason Giambi, you get Jason Giambi. Why ask him to change? I swear Yankee fans are the only people I know that would complain about getting Jason Giambi. Cleanly kept mustache or nothing? Thats not really your decision.

Rick, thats team regulation. We have high standards, and as Torre discussed with him, mustache, cleanly kept or nothing at all. And then he must dress properly between games. No jeans and T-Shirts and all that garbage.

We traded Justice for Robin Ventura and signed Steve Karsay.

I supposed now... Ventura is a veteran superstar all of the sudden.

Keep talking Rick.
