|

I saw that Minesota wanted to move Garnett to Boston, but Garnett shot the idea down very quickly. He stated that if he was traded to Boston, he would play the one year left on his contract, and then opt out. Boston did not like that idea, and I don't blame them. I don't blame KG for not wanting to go to Boston, either.
Where do you suppose he would go? L.A.? Pre or post Kobe? Could he bring the championship to L.A. with Kobe? What if he somehow got on the Pistons squad? Or the Bulls? He could really fill out some teams. _________________ www.chiefswarpath.com |

If he got on the Pistons that would be great. They have a very good team and KG could only make them better. _________________ NFL: DETROIT LIONS

For Garnett him putting up 48 double-doubles out of first 50 games, but having a terrible team, he get jipped on MVP voting. I think he deserves to somewhere good, but the experts pointed out hes not the guy who was supposed to take a simple team and turn it into a dynasty. If he goes to the suns for Marion straight up, its a bad deal for the suns...heres why
Marion is more athletic than Garnett, and he can do everything KG can do, plus hes a high-flyer and a 3-point shooter.
The good side to this trade for suns are: Amare is usually in foul trouble every game, and while AS is on the bench you can have Garnett downlow, but he is a improvment from Kurt Thomas, who was mostly reliable for the suns.
If this goes thru, think of this starting 5.
PG- Steve Nash
SG- Leandro Barbosa
SF- James Jones (possible upgrade)
PF- Kevin Garnett
C- Amare Stoudemire
6th man- Boris Diaw _________________ MLB- Cubbies- Ken Griffey Jr.
NBA- Baby Bulls- Dirk Nowitzki
NFL- Bears- Tommie Harris/ Tom Brady |

The Wolves don't want Marion... they want Amare. The Suns are very understandingly hesitant to let him go because even after knee surgery, his potential is still their the roof.
And I know KG will bring this club THAT MUCH closer to the Championships, but losing Amare for something short term isn't worth it.
I think Amare fits well with the Suns and losing him will hurt them now... and most definitely later. |
