| i actually do not play a whole lot of video games, but i always try to keep up with the Madden series, the Twisted Metal series, and the Final Fantasy series. We rented FFX today, played it for a couple hours, and woah is it amazing. Anyone else here try it out? |

me too, im not sure if they will ever top the story in FF7. and FF8 was such a dissapointment im sure they lost a lot of their fans in that installment, i didnt even finish that one i hated it so much. but seriously, play FFX, its proving to be amazing so far: the characs talk, the transition from battle to normal mode is almost seamless, the graphics are amazing and a good chunk of the game is movie sequences and such. just play it |

Well 3 months later, weve only rented it a couple more times, and Im still not done with it. I think Im nearing the end, and so far, this is a great game.
I know that earlier in this thread I praised the movie sequences. But now getting further through the game, my 2 main complaints are that the movie sequences are few and far between (prolly because the graphics in the rest of the game are so great, that they decided movie sequences were not as necessary). And that the game-within-the-game (Blitzball) is too time consuming. In 8 and 9 they implemented a card game that was fun and quick, Blitzball games last 10-15 minutes a pop...and they are too confusing to deal with.
Wedge, remember the materia in 7? Well though they dont return to that completely, they do bring back the freedom to have total control of your character's paths with the sphere grid. Though only one character can summon, the rest of it is up to you (in 8 and 9 character development was restricted).
If you havent checked this game out yet, I still recomend it!

We bought this game about a month ago, and I am almost done with it. I am at the last fight, well the last sequence of fights, but I just dont have the time to finish the stupid game!
Maybe on one of my days off in the near future Ill finish it.
The game isnt great, it is missing a lot, but it is obvious that this was treated as a transition game onto the PS2. I still have enjoyed this game though and I urge all FF fans to play it! _________________ Justin Lieber |
