Yeah, that's what I'm getting at. I especially don't like ones that change endings. _________________ -Wedge231 chris@c-wod.com

I hate when the entire plot is changed (ie. LotR 2). _________________ Detroit Red Wings / NHL.com / Sporting News

I never read the book but I have been told they are pretty similar. If you are looking for an exact replica of a book written, what, sixty years ago in a movie made today, then you are looking for the impossible.
Obviously the screen writers had to adapt the book in order to make the movie.
If you would watch any of the behind the scenes features on the extended DVD you would realize how much attention to detail that they actually made. _________________ Justin Lieber |

Then you've been told wrong. I am not looking for a duplicate. I am looking for a similar story. They've eliminated important information, changed character's opinions and actions and added crap as an attempt to soften the storyline.

They didn't adapt, they butchered.

In defense of the directors, try writing a script for a movie adapted from a book. I heard it's impossible. _________________ -Wedge231 chris@c-wod.com

I know its hard, and I dont expect it to follow the book exactly, but when they add stuff that has nothing to do with the story, its wrong. _________________ Detroit Red Wings / NHL.com / Sporting News

Sometimes changes are needed for whatever reason. Like in Spider-man, he never had organic webshooters or got bitten by a genetically-altered spider. _________________ -Wedge231 chris@c-wod.com

In the second movie:
Aragorn, Gimli and Legolas did not acompy the Rohans to Helm's Deep, and they were thrown out of the court (also Gandalf was with em). No big deal.
The Warg attack in which Aragorn goes off the cliff. Absolutely pointless.
Attutides of the Ents were completely different. They wanted to go after Saruman the entire time, whereas in the movie they didn't.
