I guess I will start off. The last few years there have been a few decent sports related movies. Two for the money was decent, not entirely sports related though... my favorite would have to be Green Street Hooligans though. It went by almost entirely unknown in the US when it was released though it was only released at 6-7 theaters on a limited run. Was a huge hit in europe though. It is without a doubt one of the best sports movies I've ever seen. Definitely the best soccer movie for sure. I guess with the DVD coming out soon more americans will get a chance to see it. I urge anyone who calls themselves a fan of sports to pick this movie up.

I haven't seen Coach Carter (shame, I know), so I have to say that my favorite sports movie is either Friday Night Lights or Remember the Titans.

Cool, just saw the movie "Football Factory" it was pretty good but I prefer Green Street Hooligans a bit more. Can't wait for it to come out on DVD though.

I'm giving the cop-out answer here and saying "Hoosiers". My problem, though, is that I enjoy any sports movie - for me, I have my favorites broken down into sports.
Basketball - Hoosiers
Football - Remember the Titans
Baseball - Field of Dreams
Boxing - Cinderella Man
Golf - Tin Cup
NASCAR - Days of Thunder (though I think it'll change to Talledega Nights when it comes out)

i forgot about Cinderella Man, that was a great movie as well because it was so story driven. I have noticed a lot of sports movies have weaker stories and just a lot of distractions thrown in for good measure. Thats why I think movies like Green Street Hooligans are so good. They are primarily story driven, they have to be with an independant movie budget. That usually means the story in the movie is very rich because they don't have the money for all the distractions (big hollywood movies being almost 100% disctractions these days haha)
