I don't think LT faded, I think the whole team faded and he went with them.
I would determine rush defense by rush yards/game. How else, statistically, can you determine it? _________________ Justin Lieber |

i determine it by stats and the players in the front 7. The ravens might not have had the best rush d statistically this year but early on in the year the were top five with ray lewis playing. Again the titans might have statiscally had the best d in 2001 but it was obvious anyone and everyone would have rather faced them then the ravens of that same year. _________________ My teams

Statistics mean nothing. The Jets were allowing almost 200+ rushing yards per game early on.
They finally got their act together around the same time Pennington became starter. The only back to rush for 100 yards against them in the final 11 games was Clinton Portis. They stopped LT, Ricky, Bennett, Green, and others.
However, by the end of the season, their run defense was still near the bottom of the league. One or two games can seriously affect all the statistics. _________________ -Wedge231 chris@c-wod.com

exactly like when ricky williams rushed for over 400 combined yards against the bears and bills. Dont get me wrong not any old back can do that no matter how bad the rush d is. Its just that priest got it done against harder teams where ricky slipped a little. Thats why priest deserves the espy nomination more than ricky. even though ricky had more regular season yards. But stats arent completly overated all the time. In most cases they paint a pretty good picture of the team. _________________ My teams

when the mvp voting was going on. When most players were asked they gave it to priest. Even rich gannon (the eventual mvp) gave it to him. _________________ My teams

The Titans didn't statistically have the best D in 2001, did they? Didn't the Ravens set a record for least points allowed in a 16 game season? Maybe I'm wrong. _________________ Justin Lieber |

yea well for some reason the best d in the nfl is condsidered in most yards allowed on defense. and the ravens allowed more yards than the titans. _________________ My teams
