I don't know if its been posted here but did you guys seen ESPN's "Who's Now" yet? They are listing the top 32 athletes and not a single MMA fighter is on the initial list. http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=whosnow/070611 .I nominated Randy Couture coz he's my fave. He is one of very few athletes to win a championship after becoming a Hall of Fame member. Has anyone voted yet?

I haven't voted, and I don't know if I will pay that much attention to it. It is all subjective, and it is really going to come down to a popularity contest, like running for class president in high school.

Although MMA has made it into the mainstream, I don't know that it has been there quite long enough to garnish this kind of attention. All in due time, though.

Hi guys I think ESPN should consider MMA fighters to be on the list! And agree Couture should be up there too aside from being a good ufc athlete couture has also marketability, endorsement prescence, celebrity status, etc. He deserves such credit too.

Well there are other mma athletes worth nominating.Like Rich Franklin and Rampage Jackson but Randy's dedication stood out for me. I mean the guys is forty-plus years old and still rocks!

UFC's legend Randy Couture together with Rampage have been nominated for the best fighter at ESPY. I just hope they would make it too to the list of 32 top athletes.
