I just can't seem to hit my drives well anymore! I used to be able to, then I didn't play golf for a while and now I just can't get them down pat!

Any tips on how I can hit my drives well again?

Well... some basic things. Try hitting with a 3 wood. Put the ball ahead in your stance and try to swing "out" to the target.

The thing I have problems with is allowing my hips to turn too quickly which results in a slice. I always work on slowing down the swing first and looking for what i am doing wrong and then going back to a normal speed.

That's probably the best advice you can give right there. Try slowing things down on the swing. One great way to examine your swing would be to take a cam-corder to the range, if you have one available, and hit a bucket of balls. Move the camera to both sides and behind you and you'll be amazed at what you see. It'll give you a little perspective.

Thanks for the welcome Patrick. I love your site, almost as much as I love golf Speaking of golf, you'll be suprised how much even reading a book on golf can help. And never be offended when somebody tries to give you advice on your game. They can see what you're doing wrong better than you can.

Cool. I have been involved the golf industry since I was very small and like the game a lot as well.

Glad you like to site and that you are sticking around.
