| I know that the Heat will get the most ping pong balls, but how many other teams are involved in the lottery? A link to these rules would be fine....I can't find them. |

I think it is the bottom 10 teams that are in the lottery, with the worst team getting the most balls, and then it declines in number of balls for each other team, but I don't know by how many.

It's actually the bottom 15 teams, and yes they decrease in number of balls from 15 to 14 and so on and on. |

| The 14 teams that don't make the playoffs all qualify for the lottery. Only the first three picks are determined by the ping pong balls. Picks 4-14 are determined in order of regular season record from worst to best for the 11 teams that didn't luck out on the first 3 picks. |
