haha yeah no problem pat  and thanks
to be honest, Id much rather this site succeed than mine so i figured id send all my traffic here 
the site's going to be real cool in a couple weeks - im making it all Flash, well, mostly all Flash

haha. i agree that Flash could easily be abused (lose content for just coolness  )...but im not losing any links
after messing with Flash for a bit I think ive decided to use Flash for the main page, and have all of the other pages regular html except for the menu bar which will be Flash. well see though, but trust me, what i have completed of the main page so far looks awesome

crazy stuff: i got my site listed in Yahoo! well, they said it would take 2-4 days, but still, i didnt think id ever get accepted.
i took the advice of this one guy, after many failed attempts of applying: i submitted my site from yahoo! canada, and it worked!

With Yahoo!, you can pay for a review and they promise to review it with 2-4 days, but no promise that you will be added. They also have a submit for free option that could take anywhere from 2 weeks - 8 months or so. They might not even look at it and some get added. It is recommended that you use short page names and descriptions and only submit once, submiting again may rule all of your submissions.
However, this isn't 100% thing, and submitting to Canada is different, just like submitting to a local Yahoo! is different... so it may have been a clean slate with Canada.

Yeah, possibly. I just read somewhere that some key tips in getting your site listed in Yahoo! is 1. to submit from an international portal of the site (i.e. Canada) and 2. to submit it using an @yahoo.com email address, which I did.
Heh, i wasnt about ready to pay the $150 or whatever it is to get my site reviewed immediately, so I took any advice I could find. As it turned out, it only took about a week and a half to get a response
