| If you havnt heard yet, Bob Davie was canned a couple of days ago. 100 percent of his kids graduated last year which is incredible, but he didnt win, so he got fired. Who do you think should replace him? Who do you think will replace him? And finnaly, do you think the head coaching job at Notre Dame is still as glamorous as it once was? |

The story out here (where I live, by the San Francisco Bay Area) is that Notre Dame is considering both the N.F.L. head coaches here, Jon Gruden of the Oakland Raiders and Steve Mariucci of the San Francisco 49ers. Who do you guys think is better? I mean who would you go for if you're Notre Dame?

Yeah, I think is because the Notre Dame mystic will always be there. Too much tradition. Too bad for them that Lou Holtz resigned. He had that program at the top year in and year out. Bob Davie wasn't as bad as when Gerry Faust was there but Davie still wasn't good enough. |
