Fred Couples has proposed a "Major Champions Tour" for players 45 (or maybe younger, I forget) to 50. You must have won a major to compete in it and they might deem U.S. Amatuer titles are a qualifying major.
They have backing from Fox, but so did Greg Norman in 95 when his proposed World Tour failed because of PGA Tour Commish Tim Finchem. Finchem took the idea and started the World Matchplay Championships.
Experts are saying that Finchem will again take this idea and in some way revamp the Senior Tour, possibly creating two tours out of the one, one of them being for younger players.
