I wanted to create a new sport.
A new sport, a real sport with fresh new rules and a fresh new way to play not seen before.
My idea was corners. Here is the explanation:
Sex: Male team and Female Teams differ
Team Size - 5 players to a team
Rounds: 3 trimesters, first two are 12 minutes long with a small break between each. Then the 15 minute half time. Then a 20 minute final round where active subbing is aloud.
Number of Teams Playing at Once - 3
Scoring System:
If a sender on a single team gets the ball and never drops it: 3 points
If a sender passes the ball between the other sender and himself: 2 points
If a sender drops the ball before getting to goal or if goalie intercepts from another team: 1 point
* These are all assuming your goalie catches the ball.
How to Play:
* There are 3 teams playing at once with 1 ball
* First ball is when all 3 teams stand at their goal, and need to run to the ball placed in dead middle
* Teams aren't aloud to enter their own goal, which constitutes as a 12 foot diameter circle, but other teams are. Goalies cannot leave
* After the first round a minimum of 1 person must be subbed
The Feild: 200 meters (656 feet) between each goal
Rule Set:
1. The ball may be held or kicked
2. The ball remains live at all times.
3. When a goal is scored, the ball is returned to First Ball requirements
4. First ball is when the ball is equi-distant from all goals, as are all players, and when the whistle blows the ball becomes live
5. No player may stop moving slower then a jog during game time
6. Biting, scratching, hair pulling, punching, kicking (excluding two legged drop kicks) eye gouging, groin hits of any kind and otherwise un-sportsman like activities are illegal. However most any other kind of tackle (including mma style shoots and wrestling style slams that do not land on the neck) are legal ways to stop advancing players
No games have been played yet so these are the initial rules, if they need to be changed or I have left out any rules we will be able to find out on our first game.
What I'm asking is A. Is this a viable sport that sounds fun? and B. Is there anyone out there willing to play?
