I didn't think we'd be able to get him, but we are gonna be able, so thats great.

Not sure what I want our rotation to be like. I wonder how good Contreras will be.

You guys have a "cramped" rotation. There's like 8 starters or so...

Payroll is now said to be around 150 million for next season, but they might trade O Hernandez and/or Sterling Hitchcock.

Wasn't their plan to cut payroll? Or maybe they changed it.

I believe that it was the plan. But, the best thing about our budget is the *.

Oh so that's how they justify spending millions more than any other team?

Yes.

More teams should do it. To be honest, I don't feel that most teams are honest with their fans about their intentions - or revenue. I believe that there are too many teams (too many owners, that is) trying to make this a profit business and it isn't a profit business for sports owners - or shouldn't be. They get their money in other avenues, in sports ownership, all they should want to do is end up around even. And their fans have to support them. And they get money right out of our (Yankees) pockets. It is like Cashman said, as long as the fans continue to support the Yankees, they will continue to reinvest that money in the club.

There should be a cap or more restrictions for going over the limit. :\
