For those lucky enough to see it, we were "attacked" by a bot that posted thousands of junk messages on our forums. Most of them are now removed. Any other ones will get taken care of eventually.
Basically, someone sets a script that comes to the site and posts messages over and over again. It's not a real person, just a machine, if you will.
I have also enacted a feature that will hopefully make it so that this doesn't happen again.

I signed on to the site about the time they started the script or whatever it was. There were only a couple at the time and I started removing them like you would normal spam...and then...BAM...out of hand. Ridiculous! Luckily, the database became inaccessible and they were kicked off. Then I (and shamedog...thanks, buddy) started the tedious process of removing threads until I heard word from Patrick. Glad you got it under control, Pat. I've never seen anything like this before. The people responsible need to be beaten senseless with a wet noodle.

| lol Yeah, Nate and I were starting to delete all of the spam threads one by one. Good thing we didn't have to do that. We might still be working on it. |
