Obviously, I think the Celtics are without a doubt the best team in the NBA this year, but they are still doubted by many especially on a national level. To those who doubt the C's: on what basis do you do so?

Remember, the Celtics are 8-0 this season against the Spurs, Rockets, Lakers, and Mavericks. They are also 23-4 against the Western Conference. You could counter such an argument by comparing them to the Mavs of last year (great record in regular season, terrible playoffs), but this team is not the Mavs.

Not to mention, come playoff time, whoever comes out of the West is going to be beat up for multiple tough series... The C's should at the worst face one tough opponent in the playoffs.

I think that the Celtics have just as good a shot at the title this year as any team in the West. Their record against the Western Conference teams is very good, as you point out. The question is how will they fair against those teams in a series. I think they will do just fine.

i deffinitly see them getting to the eastern finals, but i still want to see how they will face against the pistons in a 7 game series.

plus dont mock the eastern conference.......true majority of the teams are below .500 BUT.........the cavs and magic have both beaten the c's twice and both have beaten them at their own home, so the way i see it.........its not over till its over, the c's just might have a challenge getting to the finals

As a Knicks fan I never thought I'd see the day where I'd say something like this, but I think a Celtics-Lakers NBA Finals reminiscent of the league's glory days in the 90's would be a huge plus for the NBA.

With that said if I had to put my money down I would say Spurs-Pistons or Lakers-Pistons.
