Man! I am a huge Celtics fan and now that we added Cassell to the mix, we truly have the most compact and sloid team in the league!

That is indeed quite a pick up. It helps to make them a bit deeper, I'd guess. We'll see how things shake out.

I am pretty sure that Cassell will not be eligible for the playoffs because he signed with the club after March 1.
It obviously can't hurt to have a guy like that on the team, but basically he's just playing to get them the top seed in the East.
I'm not familiar though with the actual terms of the contract. Is he signed into next season? |

I didn't realize there was a provision like that in the NBA. I don't watch it hardly at all, though.

dude this is so gonna ruin their chemistry Sam was the one that was trying decapitate Rondo when they played against the clippers I really don't see him doing much. before this deal i had the celtics facing the lakers, now what might happen is what happened to the Lakers when the faced Detroit in the finals...sad....sad

Sam will be playing in the playoffs, he just had to clear waivers before the 1st which I believe he did. Either way---decent move, will definitely help at the very least by eating up 25 minutes a game. Definitely will not ruin the chemistry... Rondo and Sam apparently talked right after that incident and both came out happy. Not to mention, Cassell and KG are great friends.
Can't wait to see how the Celts will play come playoff time... Right now everything is looking good. This NBA season has been a blast.

this will help them get really far in the playoffs but i still think the pistons are gonna give them a run for that title.........and if not them then who ever comes out of the west.
