| Well, i think the argument that BYU should be in the BCS is finally over. They are the only team in the country that can score 45 points and still lose by almost 30. What a pitiful performance that was! And don't give me this stuff about Staley not playing. He's a great player, but he doesn't play defense! The score might have been 72-56 if Staley played. Question: if Hawaii can rack up over 70 in a game, what do you think Miami or Nebraska would do? 100, 200? No more arguments about BYU going to a BCS bowl!! |

definitely...and that definitely eliminates any chance of a "lawsuit" that BYU mighta had with the BCS.
whats amazing to me is that Hawaii, at 9-3, isnt going to any bowl. i mean, BYU still is a dominate team, and i think that that proved that Hawaii is a decent team as well. |

| I think UH could be a dominant team if they had a defense. They had some quality wins this year against BYU and Fresno State. Unfortunately, they play in the WAC, which is why they aren't going to a bowl. |

| Yep...which again is another reason why I do not follow college football too much. They didn't tell the Ravens that they couldnt play in the SB last season because they are in the AFC Central. Its just dumb to me. I mean, I know it is a different scenario, but something about that just doesnt seem right to me. |

| unfortunately, that argument just doesn't hold water. first, there are 118 college teams, so the talent base is spread out a lot more than in the pros. some would say that you should just let the conference champs of each conference play in a playoff. but do we really want to see Miami v. BYU? I think UH deserved to go to a bowl over some other teams, but in my opinion, although it will never happen, the whole bowl system should just be elimintated. they don't have them in any other sport. |

| i know that it is a totally different scenario, but like you said, the whole bowl system is messed up. there has to be something that they can do... |

well what they can do is obvious. they can go to a playoff system and eliminate all the bowl games. it's as simple as that. but does anyone think that will happen? ever hear the phrase: snoballs chance in hell? |
