I dont want to get in an argument here, but I remember Defska saying the Browns werent going anywhere, and the Chargers were. Here are the standings:

Browns: 6-4 (Currently, a Wild Card in the AFC)

Chargers: 5-6

Just stating the facts!

I think the "Flutie magic" is gone for the Chargers while I feel the Browns have a very good shot at the playoffs.

Start BREES!!!

First of all...anyone who thinks that Flutie is any worse now then he was at the beginning of the season is wrong, he was in a slump (which i think he obviously got out of last week), everyone has slumps.

Second of all...if any team in the NFL was as banged up as we were injury-wise, i dont care what team, they would lose a bunch of games too. Our two big veterans in the secondary have been gone (harrison and molden), our punt returner (one of the best in the nfl) and big possession reciever has been gone (dwight) and our tight end, one of the best in the nfl (jones) has been gone. Not to mention Junior not at 100%, Flutie with a concussion a few weeks ago, the leagues best kick returner (without a doubt) Ronney Jenkins was out (which led to one of our losses without question) just to name a few.

Third...I still do not feel Cleveland will make the playoffs.

and Fourth...we are still not out of it, granted our chances are small now, but as we get healthy, we will win, i guarantee it.

...also: two words: Wade Richey...damn him, i officially hate him as of last week. apparently we are interviewing Christie to actually kick our field goals. how said is it that out of 3 kicks between 24 and 26 yards last week, the only one Richey made was BLOCKED!!!

Rick... I remember that post. He didn't say the Chargers were going anywhere though. In fact, he didn't even mention them.

Just stating the facts!

It is obvious that is what he meant though, Patrick.

I still think Brees can answer all your problems. He did good in that one game, why not give him a shot at least?

Brees will be great in the future, but right now he is learning under a veteran quaterback. Maybe next year he will be our starter, but for now he is simply reliable depth at quaterback. And the Chargers do not need another quaterback controversy...

And you say "answer your problems" as if Flutie is the problem, Flutie is not the problem.

Flutie played pretty well against Arizona...he completed 13 in a row and if thats not good enough for someone, I dont know what is. We did not lose because of Flutie.

I'm not so sure Rick. I mean, he didn't start a NEW thread about it.

I don't see anything in there that says the Chargers are going anywhere.

Hmm...
