| No. They did get some good players, but they will need a long time before they can fight for the playoffs. In 5 years, maybe. They will probably need 7-9 years before you'll see them in the playoffs. |

i think they can mesh a good chemistry in a shorter time then that but i give them a good 2-3 years and then they might be able to at least be a title contender

Nah i mean you have two players who are used to getting a lot of shots. Between Paul Pierce and Ray Allen they are both gonna throw up a lot of shots and without the prescense of even another decent big man to help kevin they will be weak and i mean other than those three look at the other two starters. Absolutely nothin. Then what about their bench? Oh wait they have none.

despite the fact that their bench is very weak......i think they can pull at least a #7 or #8 seed in the playoffs.
the east doesnt have alot of teams fighting for the title unlike the west, so getting into the playoffs wont be hard for them.......plus i believe their starting center will be there just play mainly defense since perkins avg. about 8-9 boards last season.
plus im gonna give rondo this year, to spend a whole year at the point just to see how well he'll do.......in my opinion i think his assists will go WAY up with the fact that hes got 3 guys that make a big shot to distribute to, so with that he wont have to rely on shooting unless he has to or makes a easy lay-up or something.
and as for their bench.....yes its weak, but so is phx's and they in my opinion have a really good team with incredible chemistry, they just signed james posey and rookie glen davis so that to me is something, now the other guys on that bench ill have to see before i start talking more about them.

i have to agree.......their first 7 games have been against mostly of eastern teams, and those teams are below .500.........i want to see them take on the texas teams and yes even phx before i even start thinking celtics will make it to the finals

However, they do seem to be dramatically improved from last year. Maybe they won't win it, but they will make huge leaps from last year's season.

oh yes i agree........im pretty sure that they will run away with the atlantic division and prolly make it to at least the 2nd round of the playoffs but from there......who knows
